Meet the Choir

The Grace Male Voice Choir first met on Monday 25th July 2005 and began full rehearsals the following September. The purpose of the choir is to use the gift of Christian music and song to:

  • provide Christian fellowship for men
  • worship God
  • witness to the world the Gospel

The choir is affiliated to the Festivals of Male Voice Praise. The aims and objectives of FMVP are to proclaim the Christian Gospel in song and word, to promote fellowship amongst Christian men and to share in praise and testimony to the Lord Jesus Christ.

The Choir rehearsing

The choir currently has around 20 members from all ages and musical backgrounds and sing a wide range of Christian music from traditional hymns to more modern songs as well as material written specifically for the choir. The choir rehearse every Monday at 7.30pm at Grace Community Church, Morval, near Looe, South-east Cornwall.

The musical director for the choir is Jonathan Delbridge. Jonathan's interest in music began at the age of four when he started piano lessons with his mother. In December 2004 he gained the FRSM diploma in piano performing and in July 2005 he also passed the ALCM diploma in jazz piano. Jonathan has a busy career as a teacher of piano and organ and a freelance soloist.

Jonathan's mother Linda is the accompanist for the choir. Linda has an LTCL diploma in piano teaching and currently teaches around 20 students a week.
